John Eastland,
Vice President of Operations
One of John Eastland’s first jobs in transportation was filming the union picket line during a Teamster’s wildcat strike. John later took over as the terminal manager and, through collaboration, partnerships and relationships, didn’t have a single union grievance in his remaining three years there.
John attended West Texas A&M while working part-time for Consolidated Freightways. After four years at the Amarillo, Texas, terminal, he made the decision to move to Dallas to work in a sales facility so he could get a larger picture of the company’s offerings. John then accepted a life-changing move to Menlo Park, California, to be on the team starting up PrimeTime Air. In Menlo Park, John worked with groups focused on building long-lasting, loyal relationships to help deepen market penetration, and on coordinating teams of supply-chain experts, strategic business partners, account executives and terminal management for tailored customer solutions. Just prior to EFW, John worked as a director of transportation for Allstates WorldCargo, where he managed the startup of stations and agencies for this company with annual revenues in excess of $85 million.
